The
Arabian Gulf, the eastern side of Arabia, is considered
to be one unique region carrying the same characteristics
of larger Arabian language, religion, traditions, history,
social structure, manners and habits. It represents one
geographic, demographic and civic entity. The deeply rooted
relations between the people of the area make it hard for
any historian to handle the history of anyone country apart
from others.
We,
the citizens of GCC, should be proud of our larger homeland,
people, capabilities, achievements and developments. Every
inch of our homeland has a promising future. The land is
covered with achieved miracles that ensure better futures
for our generation and the next generations.
Tourism
became a very strong economic sector that is fully supported
by the governments of all gulf countries. However, there are
many obstacles facing the tourism sector, at least from the
private sector point of view. The private sector has its own
views and suggestion for promoting this vital sector. However,
it still needed a certain body to support its efforts, patronize
its interests, find proper solution for its problems and carry
their voice to the decision makers at the GCC. Therefore,
the Union of the Chambers of the GCC countries supported the
establishment of the "Gulf Tourism Committee
(GTC)"
