About Qatar

Qatar is located between latitude 24' 27° and 26' 10° North and longitude 50' 45° and 51 40° East and so it is located halfway along the western coast of the Aribian Gulf . The country is a penisula-extending towards, the north of the Gulf with aset of island. The length of the peninsula from south to extreme north is about 160 Km , and the total area including the islands is about 11427 sq. km.

Qatar is bordered by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the south , the United Arab Emirates to the south-east and the state of Bahrain to the west .

The State of Qatar is administratively devided into nine municipalities which are, Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Wakrah, Um Salal, Al Khor, A'Shamal, AL Ghuwayriyah, AL Gummaylah and Jerian Al Batna.
